The Sihoo M57 has been around for a while, and its formula is simple: mesh on both seat and back, an S-shaped backrest that follows the spine, an adjustable headrest and 3D armrests. It carries a 330 lb rating, about 150 kg, which is high for a mesh chair at this level. It suits home workers who run warm and want an all-mesh chair that also accommodates heavier users.

In its favour

  • Both seat and back are polyester mesh, the closest thing here to the Aeron's all-mesh layout.
  • The 3D armrests have 5 height positions, slide forward and back, and rotate.
  • Sihoo states a BIFMA and SGS certified gas lift, a 150 kg rating and a 3-year parts warranty.

Good to know

  • The lumbar is shaped into the back rather than separately adjustable.
  • Seat height travel is about 10 cm and there is no seat depth slide.

Our take

Mesh layout and back shape

Both the seat and backrest use a tough polyester mesh that lets air through, so you stay cooler in summer. A strip of springy foam at the front of the seat and a curved profile add support under the thighs. The back is shaped into an S curve that mimics the spine, with the lumbar support built into that shape rather than added as a separate pad.

The headrest adjusts to support the neck.

Arms, tilt and height

The 3D armrests have five height positions, slide forward and back and rotate left and right, with PU leather tops. The back tilts to three positions: 110, 116 and 126 degrees, which covers upright work and a modest lean back. Seat height travels about 10 cm, from roughly 45 to 55 cm according to the special features field. Seat depth is fixed, listed at around 46 to 50 cm depending on where you look.

Build, testing and warranty

Sihoo describes cushion impact, armrest fatigue and base static pressure tests, and a BIFMA and SGS certified gas lift. Amazon notes a reinforced aluminium base. The chair weighs about 20 kg and goes together in seven steps. Sihoo provides a 3-year warranty with free replacement parts and a 30-day return window for faults.

Where it falls short and alternatives

Without a seat slide or a separate lumbar adjustment, fit depends on your proportions matching the chair. The ProtoArc EC200 Pro adds a 5 cm seat slide and two-way lumbar with 4D arms, but is rated for only about 100 kg. The Flexispot ErgoX offers a 6 cm seat slide and adaptive lumbar, rated to 136 kg. The M57 trades adjustment for capacity and simplicity.

Verdict

Pick the Sihoo M57 if you want a cool all-mesh chair with a headrest and a high load rating, and your proportions are fairly average. If you need seat depth adjustment, the Flexispot ErgoX is a good step up, and lighter users who want full 4D arms may prefer the ProtoArc EC200 Pro.
