Corsair's T3 Rush takes the motorsport bucket-seat look and covers it in soft fabric instead of the usual PU leather. That makes it a better match for warm bedrooms and long sessions, where leatherette can get sticky. Underneath, it has a heavy-duty steel frame, a steel class 4 gas cylinder and fully adjustable 4D armrests, rated to carry up to 150 kg.

In its favour

  • The 4D armrests move up, down, left, right, forward and back, and swivel, the fullest arm adjustment in this guide.
  • Corsair states the soft fabric cover retains very little heat during long sessions.
  • Heavy-duty steel in the seat and back and a steel class 4 gas lift support up to 150 kg.

Good to know

  • The listing does not give the recline range in degrees.
  • The lumbar and neck support are loose cushions rather than built-in adjustable pads.

Our take

Fabric cover and cushions

Corsair says the breathable soft fabric retains very little heat, which is the main reason to choose it over a PU chair. Neck and lumbar support come as separate cushions covered in microfibre, with memory foam inside. You can position them where you like or remove them, though like any loose pillow they may need resetting when you stand up and sit back down.

Arms and seat height

The 4D armrests move up and down, left and right, forward and back, and rotate. That range makes it easier to support elbows whether you are using a keyboard and mouse or holding a controller. The seat height adjusts over what Corsair calls a large range via a steel class 4 gas cylinder. Amazon lists a seat depth of 44 cm and a backrest width of about 56 cm.

Frame and specifications

Heavy-duty steel is used in both the seat and back frames. The chair weighs about 20 kg, and Amazon notes three recline positions, but the listing does not give the recline range in degrees. Cleaning advice is to wipe the surface. Assembly is required and Amazon notes the printed instructions are in Swedish, so the diagrams will do most of the work.

If you sit on carpet or a hard floor, the standard castors should suit either surface, though Corsair does not name a warranty period on this particular listing, so check what cover the seller offers.

Fabric gaming rivals

The Razer Iskur V2 X swaps loose pillows for a built-in lumbar arch, offers a wider seat with lower bolsters and reclines to 152 degrees, but its arms only adjust in two directions and its rating is lower. The Arozzi Vernazza Soft Fabric is another fabric option with an aluminium base. The T3 Rush is the all-rounder with the best arm adjustment.

Verdict

Pick the Corsair T3 Rush if you want a fabric racing chair with full arm adjustment and a high weight rating. If you prefer built-in lumbar support and a roomier seat, the Razer Iskur V2 X suits better, and the Arozzi Vernazza Soft Fabric is worth comparing if you like an aluminium base.
