The Hbada P5 is built like a small sofa underneath. Its seat cushion uses 16 independent springs topped with memory foam over a curved wooden board, then covered in breathable mesh. Combined with a pull-out footrest and a 135 degree recline, it suits people who split their day between desk work and short rests, and who want something comfortable that does not take up much room.

Our take

Inside the seat

Hbada lists a 9 cm spring layer with 16 independent coils and 3 cm of memory foam on top. Springs hold their support longer than plain foam and spread load more evenly, while the memory foam gives a softer first feel. The mesh cover stops the seat from getting sweaty. Hbada suggests the chair suits people from about 152 to 183 cm tall.

Back, lumbar and headrest

The backrest is S-shaped to follow the spine, with lumbar support that moves up and down to meet your lower back. The headrest rises about 10 cm and swivels up to 40 degrees. The backrest reclines to 135 degrees for a break, and the footrest pulls out from under the seat when you want to lift your legs.

Limits on adjustment

Seat height travel is about 8.5 cm, a fairly narrow range, so compare it with your desk height before buying. The armrests move up and down only. There is no mention of seat depth adjustment. The chair is relatively light at about 15 kg and takes up little floor space, which helps in a study or bedroom. Hbada cites SGS certification and BIFMA testing and a 150 kg rating, and offers installation guidance and repair support.

A wooden board under the springs gives the cushion a firm base, so the seat should not sag in the middle the way cheaper foam-only cushions can.

Other footrest chairs

The Hbada E3 Air with footrest adds 3-zone floating lumbar, 4D arms and a weight-sensing recline to 140 degrees, in a larger chair. The Elabest X100 offers a 46 cm footrest, a higher seat range and 5D arms, but reclines only to 120 degrees. For anyone who needs to set seat depth, the Flexispot ErgoX with footrest includes a 6 cm slide that the P5 lacks. The P5 wins on seat construction and compact size.

Verdict

The Hbada P5 suits smaller rooms and people who want a cushioned, sprung seat with a footrest for breaks. If you want more adjustment, the Hbada E3 Air is the upgrade, and if seat depth control matters, the Flexispot ErgoX with footrest is the better fit.
