Songmics has put two things at the centre of this chair: fully adjustable 4D armrests and a 5-year warranty. Around them sits a mesh S-shaped backrest with adjustable lumbar support, a 2D headrest and a tilt from 90 to 135 degrees. Rated to 150 kg, it suits home workers who want good arm adjustment and long cover without paying for a premium brand.

In its favour
- 4D armrests and a 2D headrest are included, along with a tilt range of 90° to 135°.
- A steel gas cylinder and metal base support up to 150 kg, according to Songmics.
- The listing states a 5-year warranty, one of the longest at this level.
Good to know
- There is no mention of seat depth adjustment, so check the 52 cm seat depth suits your thigh length.
- The overall width of 70 cm is generous, which may be tight in a small box room.
Our take
Back, lumbar and headrest
The S-shaped backrest follows the natural curve of the spine and is finished in elastic nylon mesh for airflow. An adjustable lumbar pad lets you match the support to your lower back. The 2D headrest moves in two directions, enough to place it under the neck for most people, though it is less flexible than a 3D design.
Arms, tilt and seat
The 4D armrests adjust in height, depth, width and angle, so you can bring them close to your body for typing or angle them for reading. Tilt runs from upright at 90 degrees to a relaxed 135.
The seat is high-density sponge rather than mesh, giving a softer sit. Amazon gives a seat depth of about 52 cm, which is on the deep side, and there is no seat slide. Shorter users should check that the front edge will not press behind their knees.
Size and build
Songmics lists the chair at 70 by 70 cm wide and deep, with height from 112 to 132 cm. That is a generous footprint, so measure a small room before ordering. A steel gas cylinder and metal base carry up to 150 kg, and the quiet rubber wheels are designed to protect floors. Assembly is quoted at about 15 minutes with the included tools, and the chair weighs about 18 kg. The colour is called Ink Black.
Close competitors
The ProtoArc EC200 also offers a 5-year warranty and a stated 33 to 43 cm seat depth range with two-way lumbar, but its arms only adjust in height and it is rated to about 100 kg. The COLAMY mesh chair has 4D arms and a sliding seat but only a 1-year warranty. The Sihoo M18 is a simpler design with height-only arms at the same 150 kg. Songmics combines 4D arms, a high load and long cover.
Verdict
Choose the Songmics if you want 4D arms, a 150 kg rating and a 5-year warranty, and have space for a wide chair. If you need adjustable seat depth, the COLAMY mesh chair or the ProtoArc EC200 offer it, and the ProtoArc is the better pick for lighter users who want measured fit figures.
