This grey Flexispot ErgoX adds a footrest to a chair that already does the important things well. It has a 6 cm seat depth slide, 9 cm of height adjustment and an adaptive lumbar cushion, which together let most adults get a proper fit. The footrest and a 135 degree recline then turn it into a place to rest your legs during a break. It is rated to 136 kg.

Our take
Why seat depth matters on a footrest chair
Many footrest chairs skip seat depth adjustment, so shorter users end up perched forward and taller users feel the seat ends too soon. The ErgoX keeps a 6 cm slide, letting you set a small gap behind the knee whether you sit upright at the desk or recline with your feet up. Seat height adjusts over 9 cm.
The grey finish on this version is a softer look than black, and it will suit a lighter room where the chair is on show.
Lumbar and recline behaviour
Three lumbar modules respond to side-to-side, up-and-down and front-to-back movement, forming a cushion that follows the lower back automatically. A T-shaped linkage supports the system. When you recline, a weight-sensing mechanism keeps you balanced up to 135 degrees without a tension knob. Flexispot says the German-made mesh on the seat and back moves with your back and resists deforming.
Arms, base and details
The 3D armrests move up and down, side to side, and forward and back. They do not pivot. A headrest is included, and Flexispot lists noiseless casters. The chair sits on a sled-style base in the specification table and weighs about 20 kg. Flexispot cites SGS BIFMA standards and testing beyond 120,000 cycles. Neither the footrest length nor a warranty period is given, so measure your floor space and ask about cover.
Against other footrest chairs
The Elabest X100 has a stated 46 cm footrest, 5D flip-up arms and a higher seat range, but fixed seat depth and a 120 degree recline. The Hbada E3 Air with footrest reclines to 140 degrees and has 4D arms, without a stated seat slide distance. The LarkLeaves L10 Lite tilts to 145 degrees with a 5-level back. The ErgoX is the one for proper seat depth control.
Verdict
Pick the Flexispot ErgoX with footrest if a correct seat depth matters as much as somewhere to rest your legs. If you want a known footrest length and flip-up arms, the Elabest X100 is the alternative, and for a deeper recline the Hbada E3 Air with footrest goes further.
