The CAPOT OC.018 is a high-back mesh chair that pairs mid-range adjustment with a 400 lb load rating, about 181 kg. That combination is unusual in a mesh chair, since most stop at 150 kg or less. It suits heavier users who still want a fine-tuned lumbar, an adjustable headrest and arms that flip out of the way.

Our take

Lumbar and headrest

The lumbar support moves through 8 levels over about 2 inches, roughly 5 cm, and CAPOT says it targets the L1 to L5 area of the spine. That is finer control than a simple up and down pad. The headrest adjusts in both height and depth, and CAPOT sizes the chair for users from 5ft 5 to 6ft 2, about 165 to 188 cm. No tilt or rotation is mentioned for the headrest.

Seat, arms and base

The seat is enlarged at 19.3 inches deep and 20 inches wide, about 49 x 51 cm, and covered in what CAPOT calls Aerovith Mesh for airflow. Seat height runs from 18.5 to 22.05 inches, roughly 47 to 56 cm. The arms are wide and soft, described as non-peeling, and flip up 90 degrees so the chair rolls under the desk. The title lists them as 4D.

Silent PU wheels roll on a stainless steel base, and a leak-proof SGS gas lift is designed to stop the seat sinking.

Recline and assembly

The backrest locks at 90, 110 or 125 degrees. That covers upright typing and a relaxed lean, but there is no deep recline or footrest. CAPOT says assembly typically takes about 30 minutes, and Amazon lists the chair at 17.2 kg.

Warranty and certification

The structure is certified to BIFMA X5.1, and CAPOT offers a 5-year warranty with free replacement parts, plus a promise to reply to emails within 24 hours. That is one of the longer warranties among mesh chairs in this range.

Compared with rivals

The FLEXISPOT ErgoX gives you a 6 cm seat slide and a footrest, but stops at 136 kg. The ProtoArc EC300 has a more flexible dual-axis headrest and a sliding seat, rated to 127 kg. For users above those limits, the CAPOT is one of the few adjustable mesh chairs that clears 180 kg.

Verdict

Choose the CAPOT OC.018 if you need a high load rating and still want a fine-step lumbar, an adjustable headrest and a long warranty. Lighter users who want seat depth adjustment or a deeper recline will be better served by the FLEXISPOT ErgoX or ProtoArc EC300.
