Gabrylly's high-back mesh chair is built to be shared. Its adjustable lumbar, 3D headrest and 5D flip-up armrests let people of different heights and builds set it up for themselves, and a 150 kg rating covers most adults. The seat is where it differs from many mesh chairs: a wide spring foam cushion under the mesh that Gabrylly says is 20 percent wider and thicker than typical.

Our take

Seat and back construction

The back uses mesh made with a double-layer weave, which Gabrylly says combines a soft feel with resilient support. The seat is a thick spring foam cushion covered in mesh, so you get cushioning rather than a taut all-mesh seat. That suits people who find suspended mesh seats too firm on the sit bones. The backrest follows the natural curve of the spine.

Adjustments explained

Lumbar support adjusts to sit in your lower back. The headrest moves in three directions. The armrests are described as 5D and height adjustable, and they flip up to tuck under a desk or get out of the way when you want to sit cross-legged. The backrest reclines through three positions to 135 degrees. Seat depth adjustment is not listed.

Because the arms can be raised out of the way, the chair also works for crafts, playing an instrument or any task where elbows need room to move freely.

Assembly and warranty

Every part is said to pass BIFMA testing, including static load, dynamic cycling and impact tests. A tool kit and manual are included, and Gabrylly says one person can build it in around 20 minutes. The chair weighs about 19 kg and stands roughly 145 cm tall. There is a 2-year warranty, but it has to be activated by emailing the manufacturer, so do that soon after delivery.

Mesh rivals to compare

The Sihoo M57 matches the 150 kg rating with an all-mesh seat and 3D arms, but its lumbar is fixed in the backrest. The Flexispot ErgoX adds a 6 cm seat slide and adaptive lumbar, rated to 136 kg. The Gabrylly stands out for the cushioned seat and flip-up arms, which suit shared and mixed-use setups.

Verdict

Pick the Gabrylly if several people will use the chair, you prefer a cushioned seat to a taut mesh one, and you like arms that flip up. If you need a seat slide, the Flexispot ErgoX is the better fit, and if you want an all-mesh seat at the same load rating, the Sihoo M57 is the alternative.
