The Maidesite T2 is a dual-motor frame that stands out for how small a top it accepts. Its legs span 100 to 160 cm and take desktops from 100 cm long and just 50 cm deep, so you can build a narrow standing desk for an alcove, landing or box room. Despite the small footprint, it carries 125 kg and comes with Maidesite's ChocoSense controller.

Our take
Fitting a small or unusual top
Most frames require a top at least 60 cm deep and 120 cm long. The T2 accepts tops from 100 to 200 cm long and 50 to 80 cm deep, at a stated thickness of about 2.5 cm. That flexibility is useful for a recess between a chimney breast and wall, or for matching an existing piece of furniture. The trade-off is that a 50 cm top leaves limited space between you and a monitor.
Motors, range and noise
Two synchronised motors lift at 25 mm per second, a little slower than Maidesite's T2 Pro models. Range is 72 to 120 cm. A reinforced dual-beam steel structure is designed to stay stable at full height, and noise is kept below 50 dB, which Maidesite says suits late-night study. The frame is rated for 125 kg and has passed over 50,000 cycle tests.
The ChocoSense controller
Maidesite's ChocoSense keypad stores four height presets and includes a sit-stand reminder, a child lock and anti-collision. The controller is designed with segmented buttons inspired by a chocolate bar. Screws for fixing the desktop are included, though not all assembly tools are, according to Amazon. The frame weighs about 20 kg and carries a 5-year warranty.
Comparing Maidesite frames
The Maidesite T2 Pro Plus adds three-stage legs for a 62 to 125 cm range and quotes a 10-year limited warranty, but needs tops from 100 cm wide and 60 cm deep. The Flexispot E6 MAX reaches 60 cm low but only accepts tops from 120 cm long. For a complete compact desk, the Huanuo glass top model is the simpler option.
Verdict
Choose the Maidesite T2 frame if you need to fit a shallow or short top into a small space and want dual motors and a child lock. Tall or short users who need more range should look at the Maidesite T2 Pro Plus, and if you would rather not source a top, the Huanuo glass top desk is ready to go.
