The E6 MAX is Flexispot's answer for anyone who needs a frame that reaches unusually low as well as high. Three-stage legs and dual motors take it from 60 to 125 cm, a spread that works for a petite user at a seated typing height and a tall user standing. It is supplied without a top, so it is aimed at people who want to choose their own desktop or reuse an existing one.

In its favour

  • The 60 to 125 cm range is among the widest here, thanks to three-stage legs.
  • Dual motors and anti-collision are stated, with over 20,000 test cycles.
  • The controller has an LED display and 2 USB charging ports.

Good to know

  • The listing does not give a load rating or number of presets.
  • Tops must be 60 to 80 cm deep and 120 to 180 cm long, so smaller tops will not fit.

Our take

Range and lifting system

A 60 cm minimum is lower than most complete desks, which often bottom out around 72 cm. That matters for shorter people, who otherwise have to raise their chair and use a footrest to get the keyboard at elbow height. At the other end, 125 cm suits users well over 190 cm.

Flexispot describes the dual-motor system as whisper quiet and says the frame has been put through more than 20,000 test cycles. The anti-collision system stops and slightly retracts the desk if it meets resistance.

Top sizes the frame accepts

The crossbar suits tops 120 to 180 cm long and 60 to 80 cm deep. Anything shorter than 120 cm will not fit, so this is not the frame for a compact bedroom desk. A 140 or 160 cm board is the natural middle ground. Assembly is required, and the frame alone weighs about 21 kg.

Controller and packaging

The upgraded keypad shows the current height on an LED display and carries two USB charging ports. The listing does not state how many presets it saves, nor does it give a load rating, which is an unusual omission for a dual-motor frame. Flexispot does make a point of its triple-layer carton with reinforced corners, intended to stop the legs arriving bent.

Comparing frames

The Maidesite T2 Pro Plus is its direct rival: dual motor, three stage, 62 to 125 cm, with a published 125 kg rating, four presets and a top range from 100 to 220 cm wide. The E6 MAX wins on minimum height and USB ports; the Maidesite wins on documentation and top flexibility. For a corner, the POKAR L-shaped frame is the only option here.

Verdict

Go for the E6 MAX if you are on the shorter side, or share the desk with someone much taller, and plan a top between 120 and 180 cm. If you want a stated load rating and four presets, the Maidesite T2 Pro Plus is the better documented frame, and for an angled corner the POKAR frame fits instead.
